I have the G935U still on 6.0.1, but if it appears in the dropdown notification bar press and hold until the app specific notifications menu appear and click the info icon then force stop the app, sometimes it sticks that fixes it, if you dont want the notification ever again just switch off in the app specific menu instead of hitting the info icon.
